Lower Mississippi River Wide Surveillance Project

What We Did

AIC completed the installation of numerous “Surveillance Sites” along the river by installing cameras and AIS to increase the situation awareness of the Port and their stakeholders. There were existing communications towers all linked together by licensed microwave links. We utilized these towers to tie into the existing network/bandwidth to bring the camera views back to the VMS server. We installed a combination of thermal and HD PTZ cameras to provide detection, surveillance, and forensic replay capabilities. There were a total of 12 sites for several miles of coverage of the Mississippi River.
