Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

Location: Gulf of Mexico

Project Type: Command and Control Technologies

What We Did

When the Deepwater Horizon incident occurred on April 20, 2010, AIC was contracted for an emergency deployment of C4 technologies to two rapid-deploy command centers which had been established for the response and recovery to the largest marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industryAIC procured all softwarehardware and other equipment needed for two command/control locations and had the two fully functional centers operational and communicating on the C4 network within 48 hours.

This important rapiddeployed solution allowed for governmental authorities to begin immediately operating in a collaborative command/control environment to coordinate oil spill containment equipment and personnel. This collaboration significantly improved the efficiency of the operations and led to a quicker recovery.
