During the 3rd Quarter of 2009, AIC was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Subcontract Agreement by Shaw Environmental for FEMA Housing Mission Support Services relative to the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) IA-TAC III contract covering the region consisting of Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Iowa. As part of this contract, AIC stands ready to provide security support services in this region in response to disasters and catastrophic events.
Members of the AIC management team played a critical role is performing security support services for numerous housing assistant centers after hurricanes Katrina and Rita in support of Shaw’s contract with FEMA after those devastating storms. Those support services included conducting security assessments across the region as well as performing design-build services for security systems throughout the impacted area. Our CEO was also instrumental in the initial mobilization and management of over 400 security support personnel brought in from across the U.S. immediately following the storms and remained a constant interface with project managers of the Shaw Group throughout the recovery phase of that disaster.
This initial contract is a one-year contract with renewals stretching out over five years. AIC is proud to be an important partner with Shaw in this critical security mission and are pleased that Shaw recognizes our strength as a leading provider of emergency security support services.
